My Practice

I believe it is my role as a therapist to help support you in facilitating change in a nonjudgmental environment that offers accountability. We are a therapeutic team - you being the expert of your own experience and me being a sounding board for thoughts, feelings, and emotions. My therapeutic approach combines person centered therapy with aspects of cognitive behavioral (CBT), solutions focused, and dialectical-behavioral (DBT) therapies. This means we will implement skills for emotion regulation, communication, and facing anxiety while also making space to talk about your experiences.

In my practice I value exploration, honesty, perspective, and of course a little bit of courage. Being vulnerable and making change can feel scary, and you don’t have to summit that journey alone. My areas of knowledge include sex therapy helping individuals and couples when faced with challenges of intimacy and sex.

I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, exploring sexuality and gender identity, trauma work, significant life changes, and supporting individuals from the polyam, LGBTQIA+, and kink communities. In my office, we take a strengths-based sex-positive approach; let’s be a team in meeting your goals, treatment planning, and skill building.

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

About Me.

Hi! I'm Jen Webster - I grew up in Central Wisconsin, and learned at a young age there was a dearth of  counseling services for those in need. All around me, I saw individuals struggling and wanting support, but not having anywhere to turn. This inspired me to become a counselor, and be the change I wanted to see in the world. I now call the greater Milwaukee area home, and feel passionate about creating an environment where people can be themselves while also problem solving as a team. People often call me a "gentle challenger" meaning I will speak up when I think the situation calls for an advocate, but am also willing to learn from and be open-minded to the observations of others. When I'm not being a therapist, you'll find me reading books, cooking mediocre recipes, and spending time with friends. I love the great outdoors, but also respect a good couch day!
